Paul has been quite reclusive most of his adult life. He has found it difficult to connect with people and trust
them. He has very little joy in his life but this has all changed thanks to the kindness and care of his support
person.
He has been so excited with going on excursions for new furniture, clothes, decorating his room and having
someone who can identify his needs and actually cares.
I am updated on a regular basis of his progress with calls and photos and can see the happiness in his face .

Kindred have supported a client of this service with his psychosocial disability.  In contrast the previous support provider compared to Kindred was not well organised and was not able to offer consistent support workers or effective coordination.  I was always pleased for my client that we had found Kindred and I was amazed at not only the contrast in the care but in the willingness of Kindred to effortlessly “go the extra little bit” for my client who sometimes was difficult to form a bond with.

The quality of care offered by Kindred was high. The support workers were well trained and adaptable in their approach. They were able to engage with a difficult client who had vision and communication difficulties as well as obsessional and cultural contrasts. All of the support workers were able to be compassionate and formed a real bond of care and interest in the client.

At all times my communications with Kindred were satisfying and professional. Emails and calls were answered promptly and support staff were on time for scheduled meetings. On visits to the home it was clear that the support was indeed taking some considerable effort to support the client in retaining his dignity as well as his general health, the cleanliness of his home and his linkage to the local community.

The care that was offered was the same you would expect from a family member and the client’s quality of life improved and sustained through the input of Kindred. Due to the support he received he was able to reduce his intrusions upon neighbours and secure his place in the community.
